Job summary

ECPI University seeks an Academic Transfer Specialist to evaluate transfer credits and apply them to degree requirements. You will use TES and related systems to assess prior learning, including military training and nontraditional credit within tight timelines.

You will verify transcripts, accreditation, and degree information to ensure accurate credit assignment and FERPA compliance, collaborating across departments as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum of an Associate’s degree; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Experience in higher education, records management or student services.
• Equivalent combination of work and educational experience.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes TES evaluation system and other resources to complete transfer credit evaluations.
• Assists with official transfer credit evaluations, as needed.
• Screens transcripts to update the student’s record for any additional schools attended.
• Verifies accreditation, degrees earned and course/grade information for transfer credit.
• Processes transcripts and documents confidentially to ensure FERPA compliance.
• Works independently and with a team on projects like training, software testing, and meetings.
