Job summary

Michigan Farm Bureau is seeking a County Services Training & Development Specialist to support county staff across Michigan. The role develops and delivers training on office administration, technology, QuickBooks, and financial processes, with hands-on support.

Travel is required; remote training and in-person sessions across the East side of Michigan, collaborating with the Home Office and Regional Managers to enhance performance and ensure accurate financial reporting.

Qualifications

• Minimum two to four years related training or office management experience required.
• Experience working or serving in a volunteer capacity for a non-profit organization helpful
• Must possess a valid driver license, not to exceed seven MVR points or conviction of reckless driving, DUI or DWI
• Work with minimal daily supervision
• Willingness to travel as needed and stay overnight as needed
• Continuing personal computer and related education development

Responsibilities

• Develop, organize, present, and direct in-county and Virtual training for new and current county staff through Individual Education Plan (IEP).
• Assist Regional Managers with supervision for county staff as needed.
• Coordinate and monitor County Farm Bureau Financial Wellness program and financial practices.
• Review county financial records and reports to identify discrepancies and areas needing follow-up.
• Provide training and technical assistance on QuickBooks, bank reconciliations, and financial statements.
• Serve as liaison between field offices and the Home Office.
