Job summary

Pearson in the United States (remote) is seeking a Specialist, Product Program Manager to lead cross-functional technical programs from concept to completion. You will align engineering, product management, and other stakeholders to deliver high-impact initiatives on schedule and within budget.

The role requires strong technical background, excellent PM skills, and experience with cloud, SDLC, and DevOps practices.

Qualifications

• 5+ years as Technical Program Manager or similar in a technology-driven environment.
• Strong technical background in software development, systems engineering, or related fields.
• Excellent PM skills with a track record of delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
• Proficient in Agile, Scrum, Kanban.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage multiple technical programs and projects concurrently with timely delivery and quality.
• Develop comprehensive project plans including scope, schedule, resources, risks and milestones.
• Collaborate with engineering, product management, and cross-functional teams to define requirements.
• Identify and mitigate project risks, resolve issues, and ensure successful outcomes.
• Communicate project status and challenges to stakeholders, including senior management.
• Foster collaboration and accountability across teams; drive continuous process improvement.
• Ensure alignment of goals with business objectives and strategic priorities.
• Manage budgets and track expenses for cost-effective resource use.
• Provide technical guidance to project teams and support informed decision-making.
• Coordinate cross-team dependencies and vendor management as needed.
