Job summary

Pearson is seeking a Specialist, Product Program Manager to lead cross-functional technical programs from concept to completion in a remote US setting. This role focuses on coordinating engineering, product, and operations teams to deliver high-impact initiatives on time and within budget.

You will develop project plans, manage scope, schedule, risks and stakeholders, and provide technical guidance to teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Technical Program Manager or similar role in a technology-driven environment.
• Strong technical background with hands-on experience in software development, systems engineering, or related fields.
• Excellent project management skills with a track record of delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
• Experience with Agile, Scrum or Kanban methodologies.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Experience with cloud technologies, SDLC and DevOps is a plus.
• PM certifications such as PMP/PgMP are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage multiple technical programs and projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality results.
• Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, schedule, resources, risks, and milestones.
• Collaborate with engineering, product management, and other cross-functional teams to define project requirements and deliverables.
• Identify and mitigate project risks, resolve issues, and ensure successful project outcomes.
• Communicate project status, progress, and challenges to stakeholders, including senior management.
• Foster cross-team collaboration to ensure cohesive project execution and knowledge sharing.
• Drive continuous improvement in project management processes and methodologies.
• Ensure alignment of project goals with business objectives and strategic priorities.
• Manage project budgets, track expenses, and ensure cost-effective use of resources.
• Provide technical guidance and support to project teams, leveraging your expertise to solve complex problems.
• Encourage and facilitate open communication between teams to address dependencies and improve overall project efficiency.
• Manage vendors as necessary to ensure their contributions align with project goals and timelines.
