Job summary

Pearson is seeking a Specialist, Product Program Manager for a remote US-based role. You will lead multi-disciplinary teams to deliver high-impact initiatives, shaping program scope, schedules, and budgets.

A strong technical background and excellent PM skills are essential for guiding engineering, product management, and stakeholders from concept through completion. Responsibilities include risk management, progress reporting to senior leadership, and continuous process improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree.
• 5+ years experience as a Technical Program Manager or similar role in a technology-driven environment.
• Strong technical background with hands-on experience in software development, systems engineering, or related fields.
• Excellent project management skills with a track record of delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
• Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum, Kanban).
• Exceptional communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to navigate and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Experience with cloud technologies, software development lifecycle (SDLC), and DevOps practices is a plus.
• PMP, PgMP, or other relevant certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage multiple technical programs and projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality results.
• Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, schedule, resources, risks, and milestones.
• Collaborate with engineering, product management, and other cross-functional teams to define project requirements and deliverables.
• Identify and mitigate project risks, resolve issues, and ensure successful project outcomes.
• Communicate project status, progress, and challenges to stakeholders, including senior management, in a clear and concise manner.
• Foster cross-team collaboration and accountability across teams.
• Drive continuous improvement in project management processes and methodologies.
• Ensure alignment of project goals with business objectives and strategic priorities.
• Manage project budgets, track expenses, and ensure cost-effective use of resources.
• Provide technical guidance and support to project teams, leveraging expertise to solve complex problems.
• Foster knowledge sharing across teams and manage vendors when needed.
