Responsibilities

  • Prepares defined contribution plan documents.
  • Prepares plan year-end non-discrimination testing (ADP, ACP, Top-heavy, 410(b), 415, 414(s)).
  • Prepares IRS Filings (5500, 5558, 5330) and assists auditors.
  • Processes distributions (withdrawals, in-service, RMDs, loans, hardships).
  • Maintains ongoing client contact and vendor management.
  • Works with vendors to automate data collection and analysis.
  • Maintains client and due diligence files.
  • Records notes and prepares minutes for investment committees.
  • Assists in completing plan applications, reviews, and implementation.
  • Supports the 401(k) Department with industry knowledge.
  • Researches and supports new initiatives to improve efficiency and profitability.
  • Ensures data standards and integrity in the agency management system.

Responsible for preparing plan documents, planning year-end compliance requirements, providing customer service, and overall service of assigned clients in updating key plan data on an annual basis. Also responsible for all activities surrounding the procurement, placement, and implementation of defined contribution plans.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Prepares defined contribution plan documents.

QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Two (2) or more years of related work experience
  • Understanding of retirement plan types and operations, as well as knowledge of ERISA guidelines and regulations
  • Experience with small to mid-size (250+) clients
  • Professional designation (ASPPA, NIPA, etc.) or progress toward designation, preferred
