Job summary

National Jewish Health is seeking a Tobacco Cessation Health Coach to support the Keep It Sacred Program, a national initiative helping individuals reduce or quit commercial tobacco use. This role provides one-on-one coaching, education, and behavior change support to participants across the United States through phone and online interactions.

This is a fully remote, part-time position. Candidates must reside in Colorado, Hawaii, Texas, Arizona, Florida, Illinois, New York, Wisconsin or

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Work Experience: A minimum of one year experience as a health coach preferred.
• Special Training, Certification or Licensure: Familiarity in the American Indian community highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide tobacco cessation coaching via phone and online interactions.
• Use motivational interviewing and behavior change techniques to help participants reach health goals.
• Develop individualized quit plans and educate participants on cessation resources and options.
• Document assessments, interactions, and outcomes per program and regulatory requirements.
• Participate in ongoing training and quality improvement activities to maintain up-to-date practices.
