Job summary

National Jewish Health is seeking a part-time Tobacco Cessation Health Coach to provide assessment, education, and behavioral support to individuals quitting tobacco. This role engages participants through phone and digital coaching, using motivational interviewing techniques to guide individuals in setting goals, making quit attempts, and maintaining long-term abstinence.

The position is fully remote, with a Bachelor’s degree required and bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; psychology/social work or human services preferred.
• Minimum two years of health coaching experience preferred.
• Fluent in English; Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide coaching and education using motivational interviewing to support tobacco cessation.
• Conduct intake assessments, verify eligibility, and document participant information per HIPAA.
• Build rapport, assess readiness to change, and support ongoing behavior change.
• Engage in continuous training and apply feedback to maintain evidence-based practices.
• Meet call center metrics and individual performance expectations.
