Job summary

Beacon Hill Staffing Group, LLC seeks a Threat Detection & Compliance Engineer to strengthen our cybersecurity posture with detection capabilities, monitoring, threat hunting, and audit readiness initiatives.

This role combines hands-on security engineering with governance, risk, and compliance activities to ensure controls are effective and compliant across enterprise environments. Expect remote EST work and collaboration with security teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
• 5+ years in threat detection, security engineering, security operations, incident response, compliance or audits.
• Hands-on with SIEM platforms and detection rule development.
• Knowledge of auditing principles, regulatory compliance, and risk management.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain threat detection and monitoring across enterprise environments.
• Develop and optimize SIEM use cases, rules, alerts, and correlation logic.
• Perform threat hunting, investigations, and event analysis to identify risks.
• Collaborate with SOC, IR, Infrastructure, and Cloud teams to improve coverage and response.
• Support audits with evidence, documentation, and audit responses.
• Evaluate controls and align monitoring with regulatory requirements and standards.
• Analyze security logs across network, endpoint, cloud, and applications.
• Develop metrics, dashboards, and reporting to measure detection and compliance.
• Automate monitoring, investigation, and reporting via scripting and workflows.
• Participate in incident investigations and root cause analysis.
