Job summary

Beacon Hill Staffing Group, LLC is seeking a Threat Detection & Compliance Engineer to strengthen our cybersecurity posture through the development of detection capabilities, security monitoring, threat hunting, and audit readiness initiatives.

This role combines hands-on security engineering with governance, risk, and compliance activities to ensure security controls are effective, measurable, and aligned with regulatory and industry requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in cybersecurity, computer science, information systems, or related field.
• 5+ years in threat detection, security engineering, or related roles.
• Hands-on experience with SIEMs (Microsoft Sentinel, Splunk ES, QRadar, Elastic).
• Knowledge of security auditing principles, risk management, and regulatory compliance.
• Experience supporting audits and auditor requests.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain threat detection and monitoring across enterprise environments.
• Develop and tune SIEM use cases, alerts, and correlation logic.
• Threat hunting, investigations, and event analysis.
• Collaborate with Security Operations, Incident Response, Infrastructure, and Cloud teams.
• Support audits with evidence, documentation, responses to requests.
• Automate monitoring and reporting through scripting and workflows.
