Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced Cybersecurity Operations Center (SOC) Manager to lead a remote Security Operations team. You will supervise 24/7 monitoring, drive incident response, and mentor analysts to uplift detection capabilities across the organization.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years in cybersecurity with 3+ in leadership, strong knowledge of NIST/ISO 27001, SIEM/EDR/SOAR, and a track record of building high-performing teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or related field.
• Master's degree or equivalent experience is a plus.
• 7+ years in cybersecurity with 3+ years in a leadership role within a SOC.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of SOC analysts, incident responders, and threat hunters.
• Oversee 24/7 operations of the SOC for prompt detection and response.
• Develop and refine SOC policies, procedures, and workflows.
• Manage SIEM, EDR, IDS/IPS, and security monitoring tools.
• Drive threat hunting initiatives to identify and neutralize threats.
• Develop and execute incident response plans during breaches.
• Analyze threat intelligence and integrate it into detection strategies.
• Establish KPIs for the SOC and report on performance.
• Collaborate with IT and security teams for comprehensive coverage.
• Stay updated on cybersecurity threats and defensive tech.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
