Job summary

AdventHealth Central Florida in Orlando seeks a Thoracic Data Nurse Abstractor to support heart and lung transplant quality and outcomes through chart review, registry reporting, and documentation monitoring.

You will validate registry data, ensure timely reporting to national registries, coordinate with hospital leadership, and identify opportunities for performance improvement while maintaining accurate databases and meeting CMS and accreditation requirements.

Responsibilities

• Review Epic records to validate registry data and maintain transplant dashboards.
• Perform timely UNet/TIEDI reporting and address documentation gaps.
• Conduct audits to identify clinical variation and opportunities for improvement.
• Coordinate quality/outcomes committees with hospital and physician leadership.
• Validate and submit registry harvest reports to meet regulatory and registry guidelines.
• Ensure data accurately reflects performance for CMS/accrediting bodies.
• Maintain databases to meet follow-up deadlines per registry requirements.
