Johnson Service Group (JSG) is seeking a Thermal-Hydraulics Engineer for a contract role focused on nuclear reactor design and licensing. The position is remote within the contiguous United States with travel as needed.

The engineer will perform subchannel analyses, RELAP5 system studies, and support SMR product development within the Nuclear Fuels group. The ideal candidate has 8+ years in nuclear thermal-hydraulics, familiarity with VIPRE/RELAP5, and experience with licensing documentation and

Qualifications

• BS degree in Nuclear, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering required.
• 8+ years of directly relevant engineering experience required.
• Experience with subchannel TH, transient analysis, and safety analysis.
• Experience with RELAP5 and VIPRE; strong licensing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and verify VIPRE subchannel analyses and CHF predictions.
• Prepare RELAP system-level TH evaluations for LOCA and transients.
• Lead cross-functional TH reviews and licensing deliverables.
• Develop and maintain licensed TH methods and contribute to licensing reports.
