Job summary
Winning Assistants, Inc. is seeking a Medical Billing & AR Follow-Up Virtual Assistant to support a behavioral health practice.
The VA will focus on backlog claims, AR follow-up, EOB review, and insurer inquiries within TherapyNotes, ensuring timely reimbursements. The ideal candidate has deep TherapyNotes billing experience, strong problem-solving abilities, and the ability to work independently from a remote setting.
Qualifications
- Hands-on TherapyNotes billing experience required.
- Medical insurance billing and claims processing experience required.
- Strong AR follow-up, with experience handling rejected claims, denials, and EOBs.
- Ability to independently investigate claim issues and determine next steps.
- Knowledge of HIPAA requirements and patient data confidentiality.
Responsibilities
- Take ownership of the current billing backlog and work through outstanding and rejected claims.
- Review rejected or unpaid claims in TherapyNotes and determine the reason for rejection or delay.
- Correct billing discrepancies and resubmit claims as needed.
- Prioritize time-sensitive claims to prevent missed filing and reimbursements.
- Perform Accounts Receivable follow-up on outstanding insurance balances.
