Job summary

Bread for the World, Inc. is seeking a full-time State Organizer for Texas to identify, train and support diverse leaders and to implement a new state-focused advocacy and organizing approach. The role reports to the Deputy Director and is remote with travel within Texas.

The candidate will help build a statewide advocacy network, coordinate campaigns, and mobilize congregations and institutions to end hunger. Strong organizing experience and communication skills are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum of 5 years' organizing experience; Senior Organizer for 10+ years considered.

Responsibilities

• Identify, train and support diverse leaders in Texas and across the country.
• Build a statewide advocacy network of congregations, institutions and individuals.
• Lead statewide issue campaigns aligned with Bread's federal policy goals.
• Leverage Bread’s national network to support local organizing.
