Bread for the World, Inc. is seeking a dedicated organizer to identify, train, and support diverse leaders across Texas and beyond. The role focuses on building a robust statewide advocacy network and leading campaigns aligned with national policy goals.

The position requires experience in organizing, strong communication, and ability to work independently from a home office with travel as needed. Remote work within Texas or Georgia is supported by Bread's hybrid approach.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum 5 years organizing experience; 10+ years for Senior Organizer.
• Understanding of public policy advocacy, hunger issues, and governance.
• Experience working with diverse groups across racial, ethnic, generational, and denominational lines.
• Ability to write and speak English; Spanish fluency is desirable.
• Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
• Ability to work independently; home-based with travel as needed.
• Computer literacy: MS Office, internet research, data collection.

Responsibilities

• Identify, train and support diverse leaders across Texas and beyond.
• Build statewide advocacy networks of congregations and individuals.
• Lead statewide issue campaigns aligned with Bread's federal policy goals.
• Engage Bread's national network to strengthen local organizing.
• Perform other duties as assigned and travel as required.
