Job summary

Insurance Claim HQ, a national plaintiff property litigation firm, seeks a Texas Property Litigation Paralegal to join our growing team. You will work closely with attorneys to advocate for policyholders, keep cases organized, and move litigation forward with proactive client updates.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of Texas civil litigation experience is required.
• Hands-on experience working with Texas civil litigation matters is required.
• Experience with Texas courts, procedures, pleadings, deadlines, and litigation processes.
• Experience drafting and reviewing legal documents.

Responsibilities

• Manage assigned Texas property-casualty litigation matters from pre-suit through resolution, keeping cases organized and on schedule.
• Monitor and calendar litigation deadlines, court dates, hearings, depositions, mediations, and other key events.
• Maintain complete, accurate, and well-organized electronic case files in Filevine.
• Prepare, draft, proofread, and organize pleadings, motions, discovery, subpoenas, and other litigation documents for attorney review.
• Assist with drafting and responding to written discovery, including requests for production, interrogatories, and requests for admissions.
• Coordinate service and filing of documents and assist with Texas e-filing requirements.
• Coordinate with clients, insurance representatives, contractors, public adjusters, experts, and other third parties as needed.
• Maintain regular, proactive communication with clients, providing updates on case status and next steps.
• Take a proactive approach to case management, anticipating what each case needs next.
• Collaborate with attorneys and the team to achieve the best outcomes for clients.
