Sinars Slowikowski, a Chicago-based insurance defense firm, seeks a Texas-based attorney to handle asbestos litigation and act as local counsel for Arch matters. Texas admission required, with Illinois or Missouri bar a plus. This is a fully remote role focused on asbestos cases and boots-on-ground support.

The ideal candidate will have 4–8 years of litigation experience and the ability to learn quickly. Responsibilities include depos and motions, with opportunities for leadership and mentoring

Qualifications

• 4–8 years of litigation experience.
• Texas bar admission required; Illinois or Missouri bar a plus.
• Experience with motion practice and depositions is preferred.
• Ability to manage asbestos cases and serve as local counsel.
• Remote role with boots-on-ground support for Arch matters.

Responsibilities

• Lead asbestos and complex litigation, handling discovery, trial prep, and strategy.
• Manage a high‑profile caseload with autonomy.
• Conduct depositions of plaintiffs, witnesses, and experts.
• Draft and argue dispositive and pretrial motions.
• Develop and execute trial strategy in coordination with client and teams.
• Serve as local counsel with in‑person support for key matters.
• Mentor junior attorneys in litigation and trial tactics.
