Job summary

Designed Conveyor Systems in the United States is seeking a Materials Handling Testing Engineer to design and execute tests on conveyors, AS/RS, robotics and lift equipment. You will lead test plans, analyze data, and present findings to the engineering team, driving quality improvements and compliance.

The role requires 5+ years in testing engineering for material handling or similar industrial products, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage multiple

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in testing engineering, specifically with material handling equipment or similar industrial products.
• Experience managing large systems and physical programs including PLC/WES/WCS conversions, launches, and automation go-lives.
• Strong analytical skills with experience in data analysis and statistical methods.
• Proficient in using testing equipment, data acquisition systems, and related software tools.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills, capable of working in multidisciplinary teams and presenting technical information clearly.
• Knowledge of industry safety standards and regulations related to material handling equipment.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Test Planning and Execution: design and implement test plans evaluating performance, durability and safety of material handling equipment.
• Augment UAT and Operational Readiness Tests with site analysts and managers to support launches and turnovers.
• Data Analysis and Reporting: collect, analyze and present test data to engineering and management.
• Problem-Solving: identify root causes and collaborate with design engineers to implement corrective actions.
• Quality Assurance: ensure equipment meets industry standards and customer expectations.
• Safety and Compliance: stay updated on safety standards and regulatory requirements; ensure tests comply with customer standards.
• Collaboration and Support: work with suppliers, procurement and QA to feed testing results into product lifecycle; train teams as needed.
• Continuous Improvement: improve testing processes and stay informed on new testing technologies.
