Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking a Test Automation Engineer to design, develop, and maintain automated testing solutions for complex applications and services. You will partner with software engineering, products, and other teams to define test strategies, create advanced test cases, and drive improvements across the testing lifecycle.

The role requires 3+ years of automation experience, strong UI and API testing skills, and the ability to work autonomously on advanced initiatives while influencing quality

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience building automated tests for modern application stacks.
• Hands-on experience with front-end frameworks and UI testing.
• Proficiency with testing tools and patterns (Testing Library, API testing, contract testing).
• Experience testing backend services and microservices (e.g., Spring Boot) and managing builds with Maven.

Responsibilities

• Define automation test strategy and plans for products, systems, components, and major modifications.
• Design, implement, and maintain UI, API, and integration test automation frameworks and suites.
• Create, document, execute, and analyze complex test scenarios and communicate results to stakeholders.
• Participate in system integration and validation activities to identify functional, performance, and reliability issues.
• Provide actionable feedback and recommendations for product and design changes based on test outcomes.
