Job summary

Infosys Public Services seeks a Test Automation Engineer to design, develop, and maintain automated testing solutions for quality, reliability, and performance of complex applications. You will collaborate with software engineering, product, and other teams to define test strategies and drive improvements across the testing lifecycle.

The role requires strong technical depth, autonomous work on advanced initiatives, and leadership to influence quality practices across teams.

Qualifications

• > Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required; Master’s preferred. 3 years of relevant work can substitute for education.
• > Strong automation test skills with UI, API, and integration testing.

Responsibilities

• Define automation test strategy and plans for products, systems, components, and major modifications.
• Design, implement, and maintain UI, API, and integration test automation frameworks and suites.
• Create, document, execute, and analyze complex test scenarios and communicate results to stakeholders.
• Participate in final system integration and validation activities to identify issues.
• Establish and maintain internal quality control standards and traceability.
• Ensure testing procedures comply with industry standards (security, accessibility, SDLC).
• Identify systemic issues in test coverage and tooling; propose improvements.
• Provide feedback for product/design changes based on test outcomes and trends.
• Collaborate across teams to improve testability and defect prevention.
• Coordinate with vendors for component-level test approaches and data requirements.
• Work independently on advanced technical projects and provide leadership.
