Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a Software Automation Engineer II to design, develop, and maintain automated tests for our software platforms. You will work with a cross-functional Agile team to automate UI and unit tests derived from business requirements and functional specs.

The role emphasizes debugging, performance testing, and coaching peers to improve automation capabilities and test coverage across projects.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in Software Test Automation with OO development and relational DBs.
• API testing experience is important.
• Experience with Agile software development practices.
• Ability to create automated UI and Unit tests from requirements.
• Troubleshooting, debugging and complex project experience.
• Experience with SQL Server databases and objects.
• Proficiency in C#, Java, JavaScript, or HTML OOP concepts.
• Excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, maintain and troubleshoot software apps and testing tools.
• Collaborate with Agile team members across roles.
• Write UI automation test cases from manual scenarios for regression tests.
• Maintain Page Object Models for new/modified pages.
• Write Unit Test Cases within the codebase.
• Coordinate with Quality Engineering to automate test cases.
• Execute automated tests for functional, integration, and regression scenarios.
• Become an Automation expert and coach within the team.
• Suggest improvements to code and functionality.
• Simulate automated stress tests to maintain performance health.
• Research testing techniques and tools and resolve issues with viable solutions.
• Act as liaison between technical teams and stakeholders.
