Thriveworks is seeking Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioners in Norfolk, VA. Clinicians must be licensed in the state where they practice.

This fee-for-service W2 role supports in-person and telemedicine care for a diverse client base, focusing on depression, anxiety, ADHD, and more. Responsibilities include psychiatric assessments, prescribing medications as needed, and developing care plans for patients aged 14+.

Qualifications

• Licensed PMHNP with board certification in the state of practice.
• Master's in Nursing with active prescriptive authority.
• Familiarity with AdvancedMD EMR is a plus.
• Three years of overall experience; 1 year in psychiatry required.
• PMHNP must be licensed and reside in the practicing state.
• In-house ADHD treatment training and certification exam.

Responsibilities

• Make psychiatric assessments and evaluations for clients.
• Treat clients aged 14 and up in-person and via telemedicine.
• Prescribe medications to alleviate mental health symptoms.
• Create and collaborate on comprehensive care plans.
• Complete documentation and assessment tools for clients.
• Adhere to Thriveworks Clinical Practice Guidelines.
• Consult with Regional Clinic Directors on patients and programs.
