Job summary
Thriveworks is seeking licensed Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioners in Virginia Beach, VA to provide both in-person and telemedicine psychiatric care for adolescents and adults. Clinicians assess, diagnose, and manage treatment plans with medication decisions made in collaboration with clients and within ADHD clinic guidelines.
The role emphasizes flexibility in schedule, ongoing training on ADHD standards, and a strong support network across Thriveworks locations.
Qualifications
- Licensed PMHNP - Board Certification required.
- Master's in Nursing with active prescriptive authority required in the state.
- Understanding of AdvancedMD (AMD) EMR is a plus.
- Three years of experience is a plus; 1 year of psychiatry practice is required.
- Licensed PMHNP must be licensed and live in the state in which they will be practicing.
Responsibilities
- Make psychiatric assessments and evaluations of clients in ongoing in-person and telemedicine capacity.
- Willingness to treat ages 14 and up.
- Prescribe medications to reduce mental health symptoms as needed.
- Create and collaborate with clients on care plans.
- Adhere to Thriveworks' Clinical Practice Guidelines.
- Consult with Regional Clinic Directors on clients and services.
