Job summary

Brightspeed is seeking a highly analytical Telecom Dispute Analyst to join our remote team. You will investigate disputes, analyze intercarrier charges, tariffs, and contracts to determine valid resolutions and financial impact.

In this role you will collaborate across billing, network, finance, and carrier relations, prepare detailed case summaries, and support process improvements while ensuring compliance and timely resolutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Telecommunications, or related field.
• Telecom dispute knowledge including access billing and variance investigation.
• 2+ years of experience with CABS including carrier invoices and usage discrepancies.
• Experience with FCC and PUC tariffs and contractual agreements.
• 2+ years in dispute resolution, telecom billing analysis, or intercarrier operations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP) and data analysis tools.
• Ability to read carrier contracts, rate decks and regulatory filings.
• Experience with mediation systems preferred (TEOCO, Ericsson, SAP, Oracle)
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Investigate telecom disputes by reviewing billing records, tariffs, contracts, switch data and supporting documents.
• Analyze CABS invoices, access charges, usage records, LD/IXC billing and intercarrier settlements.
• Review FCC/PUC tariffs and contracts to validate charges and support dispute positions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve discrepancies.
• Prepare detailed case summaries and financial analyses for dispute outcomes.
• Process adjustments, credits, or escalations per policy requirements.
• Maintain documentation and ensure regulatory and contractual compliance.
• Identify recurring dispute trends and present findings for process improvements.
• Manage dispute queues to meet turnaround times and SLAs.
• Support system enhancements and training for dispute processes.
