Job summary

Brightspeed is seeking a highly analytical Telecom Dispute Analyst to join our team in a full-remote role. You will review billing records, tariffs, and contracts to validate charges, assess financial impacts, and drive dispute outcomes across intercarrier settlements.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with CABS, FCC/PUC tariffs, and contract interpretation, plus strong Excel and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Telecom dispute knowledge required, including access billing and billing variance investigation.
• 2+ years of experience with CABS and analysis of carrier invoices.
• Experience with telecom tariffs, intercarrier charges, and contractual agreements.

Responsibilities

• Investigate telecom-related customer, vendor, or carrier disputes by reviewing billing records, tariffs, contracts, switch data, and supporting documentation.
• Analyze CABS invoices, access charges, usage records, LD/IXC billing, and intercarrier settlement details to determine dispute validity and financial impact.
• Review, interpret, and apply FCC tariffs, PUC tariffs, and contractual agreements to validate charges and support dispute positions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve discrepancies.
• Prepare detailed case summaries, financial analyses, and recommendations for dispute outcomes.
• Process approved adjustments, credits, or escalations based on telecom billing standards and policy requirements.
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with audit, regulatory, and contractual obligations.
• Identify recurring dispute trends; present findings and partner with leadership on process improvements.
• Manage dispute queues while meeting turnaround times, SLA requirements, and quality targets.
• Support system enhancements, workflow updates, and training for telecom dispute processes.
