Job Summary

The role is responsible for analyzing customer and telecommunications data—including revenue, provisioning, ordering, billing, and contract information—to identify billing discrepancies and opportunities where the client may be under-billing its customers. The position requires a strong understanding of telecommunications products, services, ordering and provisioning processes, and billing practices, combined with strong analytical and technical skills. Identified under-billing opportunities must be analyzed, validated, and quantified, and then corrected in collaboration with the client.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform Revenue Assurance audits for assigned telecommunications clients to identify billing inaccuracies, revenue leakage, and under-billing opportunities.
• Analyze and reconcile multiple data sources, including customer revenue, billing, provisioning, ordering, invoice, and contract data.
• Apply analytical techniques, including anomaly detection, trend analysis, contract analysis, order-to-bill analysis, and invoice validation, to identify potential billing discrepancies.
• Use knowledge of telecommunications products, services, network services, ordering processes, provisioning, and billing to determine whether identified discrepancies represent actual revenue leakage or under-billing.
• Validate identified billing issues by researching customer contracts, orders, provisioning records, invoices, and applicable billing rules.
• Work collaboratively with client teams to correct inaccurate billing through the client's ordering and billing processes.
• Track identified opportunities, corrections, and financial results through client portals and internal tracking dashboards.
• Monitor the status of identified revenue assurance opportunities and follow through to ensure corrections are implemented and reflected in billing.
• Prepare and provide analytical reports, findings, and supporting information in response to internal and client requests.
• Meet established internal and client performance, productivity, and revenue recovery targets, and report progress against those targets.
• Communicate findings clearly to both technical and business stakeholders, including the ability to explain the financial impact and root cause of billing discrepancies.

Required Skills & Competencies

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify patterns, investigate anomalies, and determine root causes.
• Ability to work with and analyze large and complex datasets from multiple sources.
• Strong telecommunications industry knowledge, particularly in customer ordering, provisioning, billing, contracts, and revenue processes.
• Ability to interpret telecommunications contracts, service orders, invoices, and billing records.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify discrepancies across multiple systems and data sources.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including data analysis, reconciliation, filtering, formulas, and reporting.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Access and the ability to query and analyze data.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Microsoft Outlook.
• Ability to learn and navigate client portals, billing systems, ordering systems, and internal tracking/reporting tools.
• Ability to translate technical and analytical findings into clear business conclusions and actionable recommendations.

Compensation & Benefits

Salary Range: $50,000–$85,000 annually, with starting compensation determined based on experience, skills, education, geographic location, and alignment with our overall compensation structure.
