Job summary

Houston Methodist Specialty Physician Group is seeking a Board-Certified Psychiatrist to join the Department of Psychiatry in a 100% virtual role. The candidate will help develop and lead an interdisciplinary team evaluating hospitalized and ER patients with complex medical and psychiatric illnesses.

This position follows a four-day, 10-hour shift schedule. Training in Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry or Emergency Psychiatry is valued.

Qualifications

• Board-certified psychiatrist licensed to practice in the relevant state.
• Ability to obtain Texas licensure and reside in TX, WA, FL, LA or GA.
• Experience in Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry, Emergency Psychiatry, or Internal Medicine-Psychiatry preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide tele-psychiatry evaluation and treatment for hospitalized and emergency patients.
• Lead an interdisciplinary team in complex medical and psychiatric cases.
• Work 100% virtually with a four-day, 10-hour shift schedule.
