Job summary

Houston Methodist Specialty Physician Group is seeking a Board-Certified Psychiatrist to join our Department of Psychiatry in a 100% virtual role. The position supports hospitalized and ER patients with complex medical and psychiatric illnesses and features a four-day, 10-hour shift schedule.

Training in Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry, Emergency Psychiatry, or Internal Medicine-Psychiatry is strongly desired.

Qualifications

• Board-certified psychiatrist with specialization in hospital-based care.
• Licensed to practice in Texas; licensure in good standing required.
• Experience in hospital/ER psychiatric evaluation and treatment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide tele-psychiatry assessments for hospitalized and ER patients.
• Lead an interdisciplinary team in evaluation and treatment.
• Collaborate with inpatient psychiatry and medical colleagues.
