Job summary

US Tech Solutions Inc. in Mountain View, CA is seeking an experienced Technical Writer to partner with Standards and Specifications teams to create and update documentation across Architecture, Civil, Network Engineering, and Construction domains.

The role requires 2–4 years in technical writing, strong communication, PMP or PM knowledge, and a Professional Engineer license; you will work with cross-functional teams, ensure accuracy, and drive improvements in messaging and standards.

Qualifications

• Mandatory: BA/BS Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience in telecommunication or utility industry.
• 2–4 years of experience in Technical Writing in civil or mechanical construction or Telecom.
• Less software documentation.
• Basic understanding of telecommunication design and construction processes.
• Project management skills with ability to work independently, multi-task and prioritize effectively.
• Experience developing technical standards and business processes (internal or external facing).
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills (written and verbal).
• Certification or license in PMP or PM knowledge.
• Professional Engineer (PE) License.

Responsibilities

• You will ensure the accuracy and timely updating of internal documentation, working with cross-functional stakeholders to meet high standards.
• Apply reasoning and analytical skills to advocate improvements in messaging and documentation.
• Predict how vendors and users will use documentation and adjust accordingly.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, listening to experiences, challenges, and successes.
• Support a positive, open culture and be comfortable with a fast-paced national environment.
• Set a high bar for quality and accuracy of documentation and keep communications and actions aligned.
• Generate reporting on standards-driven quality metrics.
