AttainX, Inc. is seeking a Technical Writer II in Arlington, VA to develop and publish technical documentation for DHS/CISA.

The role involves translating complex technical data into user guides and training materials, coordinating publication workflows, and ensuring compliance with accessibility and branding standards. The ideal candidate has 2–4 years of related experience, a Bachelor’s degree, and strong writing, editing, and collaboration skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; technical communication, English, or IT related field preferred.
• 2–4 years of technical writing or similar experience.
• Experience creating, editing, and publishing manuals, user guides, and training materials.
• Translate complex information for technical and nontechnical audiences.
• Familiarity with accessibility standards and branding guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Create, edit, maintain, and publish technical documentation for CICP.
• Gather technical data from developers and SMEs; verify content accuracy.
• Coordinate layouts, illustrations, tables, and publication formats.
• Translate technical concepts into concise executive summaries and reports.
• Develop user guides, onboarding materials, FAQs, and training docs.
• Maintain version-controlled docs and manage review/approval cycles.
• Ensure compliance with Federal, DHS, and CISA standards.
