Job summary

GovCIO is seeking a remote Technical Trainer to develop, deliver, and support high-quality training programs focused on operational workflows, technical systems, software, and hardware. The role emphasizes engaging presentations, clear documentation, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to drive user adoption and mission success.

Core hours are 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM ET, with responsibilities spanning instructor-led, virtual, and self-paced formats, plus ongoing content updates to stay

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Education, Training, Communications, IT, or related field with 5 years of experience.
• Minimum 2 years developing training content or knowledge materials.
• Experience delivering classroom, virtual, or webinar training to diverse audiences.
• Experience in government or enterprise technology environments preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communications; ability to manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and update instructor-led training, virtual training, KB articles, SOPs, and other learning resources.
• Deliver engaging training sessions to technical and non-technical audiences using instructor-led, virtual, and self-paced methods.
• Translate complex concepts into clear, concise, user-friendly content.
• Collaborate with program management, operational team, product managers, technicians, engineers, and training team to identify training needs.
• Evaluate training effectiveness and recommend improvements to increase engagement and knowledge retention.
• Ensure training materials remain current with system enhancements and evolving business requirements.
• Support new technology implementations through development and delivery of training content.
• Facilitate knowledge transfer and contribute to workforce readiness and mission success.
