Job summary

SencorpWhite, Inc is seeking a Technical Support Engineer in Hamilton, OH to ensure successful support of software solutions and controls on SencorpWhite products. You will troubleshoot remotely, train customers, and coordinate with Field Service to resolve issues efficiently.

The role requires hands-on software support experience, knowledge of PLCs or controls, and the ability to travel up to 25% for on-site training and customer installs.

Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• Travel 25% for on-site training and support as required.
• Technical skills in PLC, HMI, DOS/Windows, data acquisition and database awareness.
• Remote access tools: pcAnywhere, TeamViewer, VNC and GoToAssist.

Responsibilities

• Aid customers under service contracts or remote assistance during business hours to determine if issues can be resolved remotely or require onsite dispatch.
• Lead remote support to ensure compatibility with customer OS and networks.
• Document troubleshooting steps for internal and external feedback.
• Assist in post-deployment documentation for transition from Project Management to Customer Support.
• Knowledge of VLM commissioning and deployment of software solutions.
• Resolve complex problems with high level technical expertise and business sense.
• Publish service bulletins to raise awareness of findings during support.
• Provide technical guidance to Field Service for issue resolution.
• Maintain communication with engineers on design, reliability and maintenance matters.
• Manage multiple projects across locations to meet installation and support deadlines.
• Coordinate with internal teams and customers to meet timelines.
• Assist in incident management to identify root causes and trends.
