Job summary

W.R. Grace & Co. is seeking a Technical Support Specialist to provide assistance with hydroprocessing catalyst technologies primarily in a remote work environment. The successful candidate will act as the main technical contact for customers, prepare and lead technical reviews, and analyze operational data to enhance performance.

Applicants should have a B.S. in Chemical Engineering, at least 10 years of refinery experience, and the ability to communicate effectively with clients. The role requires occasional travel and knowledge of refining operations.

Qualifications

• 10+ years’ refinery experience with an understanding in hydroprocessing design, operations, kinetics, and data analysis.
• Ability to travel as required (up to 40%, typical 20–30%).
• Ability to obtain a TWIC if not already in possession.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical service and support catalyst loadings and unit startups.
• Act as the main technical contact for all assigned customers.
• Prepare and lead customer site visits for technical reviews.
• Support customers by addressing operating questions and process troubleshooting.
• Analyze R&D results to apply to customer-specific situations.
