Job summary

Educated Solutions Corp’s client—an electrical lighting control and energy management solutions provider—seeks a Technical Sales Manager for a fully remote Western US team. The role focuses on specification development with engineers, contractors and end users, translating technical capabilities into measurable business value.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in technical sales within the electrical sector, strong controls/HVACR background, and the ability to engage multiple decision-makers

Qualifications

• 5+ years of technical sales experience in the electrical industry.
• Strong background in electrical controls, HVACR, or related systems.
• Proven ability to influence specifications and close complex sales.
• Ability to travel 40–60% and engage with engineers, executives, contractors, etc.

Responsibilities

• Develop and expand specification opportunities with consulting engineers and design-build contractors.
• Influence project design to ensure inclusion of products in specifications.
• Identify, develop, and convert new business opportunities across electrical and HVACR markets.
• Build relationships with OEM accounts, facility managers, national retail, hospitality, and restaurant chains.
• Deliver product training and technical education to customers and internal sales teams.
• Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to diverse stakeholders.
• Develop and execute short- and long-term sales strategies aligned with company objectives.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to support product launches and market expansion.
• Provide insights on market trends, competitive landscape, and emerging opportunities.
• Contribute to go-to-market strategy and product positioning.
• Actively participate in industry associations, affiliations, and certification programs to strengthen market presence.
