Job summary

Ōura is seeking a Technical Project Manager for its Science team in the United States. You will manage cross-functional R&D programs, coordinating with Science, Hardware, Firmware, Software, and Product to keep complex health-sensing initiatives on track from planning through execution.

You will own integrated project plans, translate needs into clear requirements, and negotiate commitments across teams, while surfacing risks and driving decisions to closure.

Qualifications

• 4+ years leading scientific or technical projects with clear ownership of milestones, dependencies, risks, and cross-functional execution.
• Experience managing projects in a scientific, engineering, or product-validation environment; wearable tech or human-subjects research is preferred.
• Ability translating scientific needs into clear requirements and interfaces with technical leads.
• Strong negotiation of timelines and ownership across teams.

Responsibilities

• Own integrated project plans for R&D efforts — timelines, milestones, risks, dependencies, and decision paths for Science.
• Partner with scientists, tech managers, and leaders to translate needs into clear requirements, interfaces, and escalation paths.
• Coordinate hand-offs across teams and negotiate commitments teams can hit.
• Spot readiness gaps in testing, validation, and readiness reviews and turn into actionable requirements with technical owner support.
• Surface risks early and drive decisions to closure across R&D initiatives.
• Maintain ownership and change tracking for protocols, specifications, and readiness criteria within the program.
• Contribute to improving how Science runs projects by reducing duplication and standardizing when it reduces friction.
