Job summary

Ōura is seeking a Research Coordinator for its Research Operations team in San Francisco. The role focuses on hardware research programs, supporting studies from initiation to data quality review, with a hybrid schedule requiring 3+ days in the SF office.

You will engage with researchers and engineers to ensure rigorous study operations, data integrity, and privacy protections while gaining exposure to cutting-edge wearable tech and sensor concepts.

Qualifications

• 1+ years in human subjects research in academic, commercial, or clinical settings.
• Experience with screening, scheduling, IRB approval/consent processes, data monitoring, and study documentation.
• Familiarity with physiological data or wearable sensors and prototype devices.
• Based in San Francisco and available for regular onsite work at least three days per week.
• Willingness to occasionally travel domestically for study-related activities.

Responsibilities

• Support up to 3 hardware-focused human subjects studies in parallel under supervision.
• Gain expertise in emerging data collection capabilities and early-stage device concepts.
• Execute day-to-day study operations: scheduling, room/setup, participant flow, data capture.
• Collaborate with technical and non-technical teams to ensure study rigor and documentation.
• Occasionally travel for site visits, vendor coordination, or cross-office collaboration.
