Job summary

Amphenol RF is seeking a Technical Project Manager, Automotive for a remote role with potential candidates in the Detroit area. You will lead technical projects from quoting to mass production, coordinating cross-functional teams and serving as the technical contact for Tier 1 and OEM customers.

Responsibilities include budgeting, tooling cost tracking, APQP/PPAP/FMEA adherence, and ensuring quality requirements. Occasional travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 3–7 years of project management experience in the automotive supply chain.
• Proficiency in APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, and DFMEA processes.

Responsibilities

• Award new projects by providing a comprehensive technical solution to the customer.
• Review RFQ packages with cross-functional teams to define achievable specifications for quotation.
• Drive flawless launches of awarded projects and manage cost optimization with the cross-functional team.
• Coordinate/supervise submission of documents to meet phase-gate requirements and manage technical risks.
• Travel as needed to visit customers, production sites, and suppliers (up to 10%).
