Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager to lead planning, execution, and delivery of software development and cloud-based technology projects. The role blends strong PM skills with knowledge of software architecture, APIs, cloud platforms, DevOps, security, and QA, collaborating with stakeholders, architects, developers, QA, UX, DevOps, and partners to ensure high-quality results.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in CS/IT/Engineering or related field.
5+ years of experience in technology project management or related roles.
Experience managing software development projects involving web/mobile apps, cloud platforms, APIs or integrations.
Strong knowledge of Agile, Scrum, Kanban and traditional project-management practices.
Experience with cross-functional and geographically distributed teams.
Understanding of SDLC, DevOps delivery and cloud platforms (Azure/AWS/Google).
Familiarity with APIs, databases, authentication, CI/CD, security, and production support.
Experience using Azure DevOps, Jira, Confluence, MS Project, Monday.com or similar.

Responsibilities

Own the complete project lifecycle from requirements and planning through development, testing, deployment and post-production support.
Translate business objectives into clear technical deliverables, milestones, sprint plans, and actionable work items.
Define project scope, timelines, dependencies, resource requirements, acceptance criteria, and delivery plans.
Manage multiple projects or workstreams while maintaining visibility across priorities and deadlines.
Identify delivery risks, technical blockers, resource constraints, and dependencies early.
Develop mitigation and contingency plans for identified risks.
Ensure projects are delivered within the agreed scope, schedule, budget, and quality expectations.
Manage scope changes through a structured change-control process.
