Job summary

Emergent Software is seeking a Technical Product Owner (Data) to lead requirements gathering and delivery for data engineering, analytics, and BI projects. You will work with clients, data engineers, and stakeholders to define priorities, manage backlogs, and deliver data solutions that drive measurable value.

The role is fully remote, offering a flexible schedule and a strong emphasis on collaboration, governance, and agile delivery practices.

Qualifications

5+ years of experience as a Product Owner or Business Analyst on complex data engineering projects.
Experience delivering data engineering projects on modern cloud data platforms and familiarity with data warehousing concepts.
Experience crafting cost estimates for components or entire projects.
Strong technical writing, verbal communication, and presentation skills are a must.
Experience liaising between agile teams and users to drive delivery.

Responsibilities

Define product vision and backlog with clients.
Collaborate with architecture and engineering teams to vet technical feasibility.
Explain requirements to delivery teams and manage status, risks, and changes.
Champion agile software development and drive delivery with clients.
