Job summary

Tetra Tech is seeking a seasoned Technical Editor to join the Federal Master Planning Team in a fully remote capacity. You will edit technical documents, develop editorial style guides, and create templates in Word and InDesign while collaborating with managers and teammates to ensure precise, compelling deliverables for DoD and other clients.

The role requires strong English grammar, experience editing scientific/technical materials, and the ability to manage multiple projects with tight

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 5+ years work experience in editing, journalism, or related field.
• Strong grammar, style guides, and production workflow knowledge.
• Demonstrated experience editing scientific and technical documents.
• Experience supporting Department of Defense programs/projects.
• Knowledge of page layout and design integration of maps, graphics, text.
• Proficiency in Word and Adobe tools for templates and layouts.

Responsibilities

• Perform editing (technical edit, proofreading, rewrite) on technical documents.
• Develop and enforce editorial style guides for consistency.
• Create templates in Word and InDesign and manage layouts.
• Collaborate on process flow, editing practices, and project discussions.
• Balance multiple deadlines with adaptability and accuracy.
• Resolve task-related issues proactively and professionally.
