Job summary

Tetra Tech is seeking an experienced Technical Editor to support technical documentation and facility operations in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The role emphasizes reviewing, developing, and revising highly technical documents for DOE facilities and other high-hazard environments.

The successful candidate will bring strong editing skills, attention to detail, and LaTeX proficiency, with collaboration across subject matter experts to ensure accuracy and safety compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in English, Technical Communication, Engineering, Science, or related field.
• 5+ years editing technical documents for facility operations (DOE, nuclear, or high-hazard facilities).
• Experience developing and revising technical procedures and controlled documentation.
• Experience with safety management programs, training, and task analyses.
• Proficiency with LaTeX is required.

Responsibilities

• Review and edit technical documents, procedures, policies, and programs for facility operations.
• Assess revisions for impacts to safety management, training, and qualifications.
• Develop or revise documents providing instructions for key facility systems and processes.
• Maintain documentation related to safety-related systems and Authorization Basis.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts and project teams to update documentation.
• Ensure clarity, accuracy, consistency, and proper formatting of documents.
• Follow internal procedures and industry standards; work safely at all times.
