Job summary

Grafana Labs seeks a highly skilled Technical Accounting & Financial Reporting Manager to strengthen our global financial framework. You will report to the Senior Manager and drive GAAP-compliant financial reporting, policy development, and coordination with external auditors.

The ideal candidate has deep US GAAP and SEC experience, Big 4 background, and CPA certification, with a track record of process improvements in fast-growing, cross-functional environments.

Qualifications

• Big 4 experience or equivalent technical accounting advisory background.
• CPA certification required or equivalent.
• Deep knowledge of US GAAP and SEC reporting, incl. ASC 230/260/350/606/718/805.
• Experience supporting financial reporting controls and external audits.
• Strong analytical, written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to lead projects in a fast-paced environment; cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and/or review financial statements, supporting work papers, and disclosure checklists.
• Own key quarterly and annual financial reporting controls.
• Review complex areas like commissions during close.
• Conduct technical accounting research and draft memos.
• Evaluate and adopt new accounting standards and update policies.
• Identify emerging close process complexities and coordinate with teams.
• Communicate accounting and equity issues with cross-functional stakeholders.
