Job summary
VetsEZ seeks a Tech Writer to support the Data Migration & Syndication effort for the VA’s EHRM-IO program. The candidate will write, edit, and maintain highly complex IT documents, and craft communications related to SDLC releases and policy changes.
The role requires interviewing technical staff, researching complex concepts, and producing training materials. A strong background in MS Office and knowledge of SDLC is essential, with federal/VA experience a plus.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in English, journalism, CS, or related discipline.
- 3+ years of technical writing experience.
- Interface with technical staff and end-users to gather requirements.
- Experience with SDLC and documentation from URD to FRD/Design.
- Proficiency with core MS Office tools and documentation practices.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate work activities and write/edit highly complex IT documents.
- Develop and distribute communications for SDLC releases and policy changes.
- Edit documentation for style, clarity, and adherence to guidelines.
- Research technical concepts and create new technical documents.
- Interview technical staff to gather data for documentation.
- Document, train, and communicate processes to ingrain culture.
