Job summary

Akamai Technologies in Cambridge, MA seeks a Technology Program Manager II to guide cross-functional programs in server hardware initiatives. You will coordinate engineering and operations for reliable, high-performance hardware projects and report on progress to leadership.

The role requires strong program management experience, Agile practices, vendor interactions, and the ability to navigate a dynamic matrix environment while driving continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Have 5 years of relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree or its equivalent.
• Have desire to learn technical skills within server hardware scope.
• Demonstrate experience in program or project management and agile work processes in a cross-functional and technical team.
• Demonstrate autonomy with a solid continuous improvement mindset - proactively identifying solutions to complex challenges.
• Be action-oriented with strong analytical skills and decision-making ability, and adapt quickly to changing priorities.
• Demonstrate excellent teamwork and engage in diverse, creative projects.
• Have experience with external vendor interactions and understanding server hardware specifications.
• Have experience with Jira and Confluence.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional alignment of the entire program lifecycle and guide multidisciplinary teams to delivery.
• Bridge engineering and operations to ensure server hardware initiatives are reliable and high performing.
• Provide planning and execution support for multiple projects and programs.
• Report program status, risk/opportunity, dependencies and success metrics to senior stakeholders.
• Engage regularly with collaborators and communicate progress to evaluate priorities and propose solutions.
• Maintain relationships with internal engineering teams focusing on server hardware components.
