Job summary

Akamai Technologies GmbH in Cambridge, MA is seeking a Technology Program Manager II to lead cross-functional programs for server hardware initiatives, ensuring reliability and performance across our world‑class edge platform.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional alignment of the program lifecycle across engineering and operations.
• Provide subject matter expertise in planning and execution of multiple projects and programs.
• Report on program status, risks/opportunities, dependencies and success metrics to senior stakeholders.
• Engage with collaborators to evaluate priorities and propose solutions.
• Maintain relationships with internal engineering teams focused on server hardware components.

In this role, you will lead the cross-functional alignment of the entire program lifecycle, guiding multidisciplinary teams to successful delivery. Operating within a dynamic matrix environment, you will bridge engineering and operations to ensure complex server hardware initiatives are executed with high reliability and performance.

As a Technology Program Manager II, you will be responsible for:

• Supporting cross-functional teams and providing subject matter expertise in planning and execution of multiple projects and programs
• Fostering effective communication and maintaining meticulous documentation
• Reporting on program status, areas of risk/opportunity, process dependencies and success metrics to senior internal stakeholders
• Engaging regularly with key collaborators, effectively communicating progress, to evaluate and identify business risks, understand priorities and propose solutions
• Maintaining and nurturing relationships with internal engineering teams, focusing on server hardware components

Compensation

Akamai is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. For US based candidates only - the base salary for this position ranges from $100,700 - $181,300/year; a candidate’s salary is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and location. Compensation for candidates outside the US will vary. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of annual bonus or incentives, equity awards and an Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP).
