Job summary

CTG is seeking a Technical Lead to drive Java, AWS, Kubernetes/EKS, and microservices initiatives for a remote 10-month engagement. Lead a development team, collaborate with Product, Architecture, DevOps, and QA, and shape scalable cloud-native architectures using Java, Spring Boot, and Apigee proxies. Excellent English and proven leadership are required.

The role focuses on delivering enterprise-scale microservices on AWS with strong DevOps practices and CI/CD automation in a remote setting.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of software engineering experience.
• 4–5+ years in a technical leadership role.
• Strong hands-on experience designing and developing AWS and Kubernetes/EKS-based microservices architectures.
• Proven experience leading development teams and delivering enterprise-scale applications.
• Experience with cloud-native development, API management, CI/CD, and distributed systems.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering or related field preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of developers in the design, development, and delivery of scalable microservices-based applications.
• Serve as the primary technical point of contact for Product, Architecture, DevOps, and QA teams.
• Design and build microservices using Java, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, and related frameworks.
• Architect and manage containerized workloads on AWS EKS, including deployments, services, ingress, and namespaces.
• Develop and deploy Apigee proxies to support microservices and API integrations.
• Conduct technical design and code reviews while enforcing engineering best practices, coding standards, and quality processes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot technical issues and deliver reliable, scalable solutions.
• Support CI/CD automation and cloud-native application deployments.
