Job summary

Ad Hoc LLC is seeking an Engineering Lead to guide multiple engineering teams and shape technical direction for government-focused digital services. You will mentor engineers, ensure delivery quality, and collaborate across Product, Design, and Program Management to solve complex problems.

Ideal candidates have 9+ years in software engineering, strong Java/Spring expertise, and experience leading teams through design, development, and deployment of modern microservices architectures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 9+ years of software engineering experience.
• Proven track record leading technical teams and delivering software.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor engineering teams, shaping technical direction and practices.
• Ensure delivery aligns with program scope, schedule, and requirements.
• Collaborate with product, design, and program management to evaluate solutions and communicate tradeoffs.
• Oversee hiring, performance reviews, and career development of engineers.
• Contribute to architectural decisions and engineering roadmaps; maintain documentation.
