Job summary

Ladders is seeking a Tech Lead Engineer to provide technical leadership across high-impact software initiatives, guiding architecture and execution for complex business applications. You will partner with engineers to translate broad requirements into scalable technical solutions and well-defined implementation plans.

The position also focuses on raising engineering quality, strengthening cloud-native systems, and mentoring team members to support delivery excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related STEM field, or equivalent experience.
• 12+ years of professional software development experience building complex, scalable business applications.
• Expert-level proficiency in the Microsoft stack, including C# / .NET Core and Angular.
• Strong hands-on experience with Azure cloud services, including Durable Functions and App Services.
• Proven experience designing and operating distributed systems, microservices, and RESTful APIs.
• Deep experience with CI/CD pipelines and modern DevOps practices.
• Strong database experience with SQL Server and Azure SQL.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for complex, high-impact initiatives.
• Lead system and component-level architecture design in partnership with engineers.
• Own end-to-end technical execution for key projects, managing risks and dependencies.
• Translate high-level designs into well-scoped tasks and implementation plans.
• Design and evolve cloud-native architectures using modern patterns and technologies.
• Set and enforce high engineering standards through code reviews and testing practices.
• Mentor and coach engineers, fostering collaboration and continuous learning.
