Job summary

General Motors seeks a Senior Manager, Compensation – Tech to design and govern compensation programs for GM’s tech-focused businesses, including Software & Services, Autonomous/AV, and Cybersecurity. You will lead a small team, partner with HRBPs and executives, and translate talent strategies into scalable compensation frameworks.

You will drive market intelligence, benchmark tech roles across geographies, and ensure equity and competitiveness while maintaining governance and compliance.

Qualifications

• 8-10+ years of progressive compensation experience, incl. 3+ years in leadership
• Experience designing compensation for tech talent (base, incentives, equity)
• Strong analytical skills; proficient in Excel and BI tools
• Deep knowledge of compensation survey methodologies and market pricing tools
• Proven ability to influence senior leaders with data-driven insights

Responsibilities

• Lead design and refinement of tech compensation structures for GM domains (base, incentives, equity)
• Partner with HRBPs, TA, and leaders to define proactive tech compensation strategies
• Drive analytics and scenario modeling for market/structure changes
• Provide executive-ready insights and governance across compensation programs
